Hi, I’m Hannah Mahmoodi.
I’m a Behaviour Consultant and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) based in Vancouver, BC, and the heart behind Luma Behaviour.
My path to this work
What shaped me, what I studied, and how I work with families today.
1
Where it started
My personal experiences have shaped my professional mission. Growing up in an environment where I often felt different and excluded, I developed a deep desire to create spaces where others could feel truly seen, supported, and welcomed, just as they are. This early experience has fueled my purpose: to help every child, regardless of how they learn or express themselves, feel included and empowered.
2
Learning how people grow
I’ve always been a curious listener (my friends say it’s one of my best qualities!), and that skill has helped me connect with people’s unique perspectives. Over time, I realized I loved exploring how people think, learn, and grow. I studied Clinical Psychology, then completed a Master of Education in Autism and Developmental Disorders at UBC, where I found ways to bridge science with compassion

Working with children and families
For the past several years, I’ve worked with neurodivergent children and their families. I design and deliver individualized programs, while also training and supporting the teams around each child.

Luma Behaviour
At Luma Behaviour, my approach blends evidence-based strategies with creativity, kindness, and collaboration, because I believe that every child’s mind blooms differently, and every family deserves a guide who respects that. My work is guided by science, yes, but also by heart, culture and connection.
